The Lambda sensor fits directly into the exhaust systems. It precisely measures the amount of Oxygen present in the exhaust gases and reports its findings to the ECU (Electronic control unit).
The ECU Uses this information to adjust the fuel injection system to obtain the maximum fuel efficiency while keeping the exhaust emissions at a safe level.
