The unit is supplied on a default setting designed to give a good balance of additional torque and power, with user adjustments available behind the rear panel should you choose to adjust the power gain. Once fitted, our tuning modules aim to give you more usable power and much more available torque. As a by-product of this, your turbo lag will be greatly reduced making the car much nicer to drive. The additional torque also allows the car to pull better at low revs which means that you can be in a higher gear more of the time, reducing fuel consumption by up to 15%. The additional torque will be of great assistance if you tow a trailer or caravan. Programmed with engine specific maps, these digital microprocessor units are manufactured by Bluespark Automotive in the UK under their CR Tech brand. Power, Torque & MPG. Power and Torque gains. Depending on your engines capabilities our tuning boxes can increase power and torque by up to 30%. When developing maps for new engines we aim to make maps that will give the best possible gains without affecting reliability. Unlike our diesel units, the petrol tuning modules will give good gains in performance but will not give any major benefit in improving fuel economy. Unless you have an aggressive driving style your economy should remain the same as standard mapping. Most installations will take no more than 10 minutes.
