Since owning the car it has had a lot of engine work carried out, it has had the cylinder head re-built, new piston rings, new genuine Vauxhall con rods, new con rod bolts, big end bearings, cam belt and water pump kit, new aux belt, hybrid turbo core from Turbo Rebuild, and oil and filter change. The modifications are as followed. 80mm VXR mass air flow meter. VXR turbo with hybrid core. CDTI air box with black SFS hose. 9 litre front mount intercooler hidden behind the bumper. 70mm Astra vxr remus exhaust with Monaro vxr back box. M32 6 speed Astra VXR gearbox. Extended front and rear wheel arches by about 15mm. Door mouldings removed and smoothed off. Smoothed boot handle with Agila boot release switch. 18 8.5J Rial Daytona race alloys. EBC green stuff pads all round. Eibach adjustable coilovers all around. K-mac rear anti roll bar. Full leather Astra VXR front and rear seats. OPC 6 speed gear knob. Red and blue back lit speedo/rev counter. MK5 Astra steering wheel with OPC badge. Centre console trimmed in leather. Boost gauge with custom pod. Irmscher leather hand break handle. There is probably loads that I have missed out in the lists above. This truly is a unique one off car and really looks and drives the part, I dont want to sell her but she doesnt get used as much as I would like to. There is no smoke from the engine and it was properly run in for 1000 miles after the rebuild.
The Astra has recently been clay bared, soft polished and hard waxed. It looks stunning and really stands out. The car will be on show at PVS at Santa Pod on Sunday the 11. There is a couple of tiny marks and stone chips around the car and a mark on the front bumper.
