Our Astra GTC is a highly desirable diesel model in sought after SRI trim - a stylish and superbly presented example of this beautiful low-slung coupe / hatch. The GTC may share a floorplan with the regular Astra 5 door model, but it is a completely different car with gorgeous, sweeping line and a low-slung, wide look. This SRi model has the looks... And thanks to its 162bhp CDTi turbo-diesel engine, the performance to match them... There is also lashings of aluminium and chrome detailing for that clean, sexy look. This car stands out from lesser Astra models with its smart multi-spoke alloy wheels along with sporty front fog lights. It is fitted with front and rear parking sensors which give both an acoustic and visual aid during tight maneuvers. As you can see this car is a real head-turner - The desirable specification and the bright red coachwork ensure that it is no shrinking violet.
But despite the sporty looks and high specification, our Astra is cheap to run with 50+mpg combined fuel economy. It's also very easy to drive with the torquey turbo diesel being the perfect match for the 6 speed gearbox which is complemented by cruise control for added comfort. There is a powerful dash-mounted CD stereo which has a fantastic sound along with USB and auxiliary inputs. What's more that power is delivered so smoothly through the 6 speed gearbox - It really is a joy to use and makes the Astra GTC a very relaxing car to drive. The superb ride comfort and cruise control make this model superb on the motorway - It is very smooth and quiet at speed and I find this model as capable as the larger Insignia models. Around town and when parking, the front and rear park distance sensors are fabulous. If you're looking for a sports hatch, our Astra GTC is a car that it surprisingly practical as well as good fun to drive and will be a joy to own! As well as having front and rear parking sensors (A desirable option which ensure this car is very easy to maneuver and park), our car also comes with an electronic handbrake with hill-start assist. This makes it extremely user-friendly and easy to drive. It is also highly practical with 5 doors, a generously accommodating interior and even has a decent sized boot.
