Engines are always supplied without catalytic converters & gearboxes. The engines have been run up, tested and found to be in good working order, no funny noises, no smoke, no over heating etc. We dont steam clean or remove parts (ecus are never included) from the engines like other sellers, generally they come as they come out unless stated. There may be some slight oil leaks or oil build up from over time on the block etc. You may need to replace some gaskets or things like cam cover, sump (sumps may be corroded or dented), cam/crank seals, injector seals, thermostat etc.
Generally they come complete but some of these attached parts may be broken eg alternator, manifolds, egr valves etc (not affecting the engine) the timing belt kit and water pump should always be replaced. The timing chain on some engines, like Vauxhall 1.0,1.2,1.4 engines should also be replaced.
